Surviving The Coronavirus!

“No evil will fall upon you, and no affliction will approach your tent. For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.”

Psalms 91:10 11

This is serious, but not THAT serious.

The Coronavirus. This thing that has everyone panicking and going crazy. It disrupted life as we know it, I had to wait in line outside for a grocery store. First and foremost please calm down! I understand that this virus is a little concerning, but there’s no need to be greedy. To deal with this properly I have to talk about 2 things: spending too much money and boosting your immune system.

Don’t Stop Budgeting!

During these times it is very tempting to want to spend all of your money hoping to stay in and avoid all of the people and germs. Please Don’t. I understand that everyone wants to be prepared for the worst, but at what point will it cross into insanity. When the dust settles and everything is righted again, you’re going to check your account and faint. I’ve talked about unexpected moves and saving before and I’ll talk about it again. Be monetarily prepared for anything, food and household necessities are important but we have to think long-term. Even if we do need to be quarantined for a while, at some point you will have to buy more. (Although I don’t think it will come to that.)

Remember that there are people who didn’t have much before the virus that NEED food, tissue, etc. Don’t hoard all of the necessities because you’re panicking. Some people couldn’t afford medication, but they’re now forced to stock up on supplies. Some families can’t afford childcare. Some families can’t afford an extra meal plus snacks for their child(ren). Some people won’t have an income for the rest of the month. Some small businesses and start-ups won’t be able to survive this. Don’t forget about the elderly and the homeless! So while you’re tearing up the stores, stop to think about the next human being that has been affected by this. Help others if/when you can.

Focus On Your Health & Safety

If you’re like me and plenty of other people right now, being quarantined is not an option lol. Some people have to still go on with their daily lives. We have to go to work and there’s no way to avoid being in public places. There’s a simple solution to making sure you keep yourself protected from this virus or even the common cold/flu.

>>>>>>Wash Your Hands!!!!!<<<<<<
>>>>>>Cover Your Mouth!!!!!<<<<<<

It needs to be said that some people don’t take the necessary precautions when it comes to cleanliness. Remember to wash your hands before and after you eat. This is so important! EVERYTHING that you’ve touched will be going into your mouth and into your system. Make it a habit NOT to touch your face with dirty hands. You would be surprised at the number of times we touch our faces and don’t realize it. Cover your mouth when cough or sneeze. When we sneeze germs spread far and wide on multiple surfaces and can live for hours. Help your immune system fight off illnesses. I take a shot of cough syrup just to be on the safe side. Vitamin C/E and all of the other letters of the alphabet will be your best friend. Drink fluids (preferably something warm), keep cough drops, and you’ll be fine.

Thank you for reading! This Coronavirus is messing up my plans for my birthday, but the show must go on. #3/19
