Be Mindful Of The Words You Use!

Have you ever heard of the phrase, “Think before you speak?” Has there ever been a time where you’re speaking (or yelling) from a place of anger or hurt? Did you say something you regretted and now can’t take back? This is where that phrase comes in handy. It means exactly that, think BEFORE you speak. Words are powerful and can take on a life of there own, so before you go spewing hate take a good look at who you’re talking to.

I always say that if you still want that person to like you, you need to watch your mouth. I can’t always control my tone of voice, because if I’m that mad or upset it’s something that’s been brewing for awhile. BUT I can watch what I say! I can look at someone I care and have respect for and decide what I should and shouldn’t bring up. I don’t have to call you out of your name or put my hands on you, because that’s out of anger. I can try to rationalize with you but at a certain point if I can’t get you to understand, I’m just going to walk away. I’ve realized over the years that you can’t force someone to see your point-of-view, even if you’re right. All you can do is try and if it doesn’t work, you can take comfort in the fact that you did what was in your power to do.

Hello everyone! I tried tik tok for the first time yesterday and I was laughing wayyy too hard at the voice generators. I might delete later idk. I know I haven’t shown my winning personality much through the reading. Sorry! Especially since I can’t use emojis (booo) without it saying <strong> lol. That’s kind of hard to do when I’m covering topics that are personal and pretty serious. It’s just that I’m not only covering things from my past, but also things going on right now. I will try to discuss lighter topics as well, along with the heavier topics. Alright I’m done now!

Hello I'm Mariah Eskridge and my goal is to encourage those who otherwise wouldn't have the support. I graduated from Illinois State University in May 2019 with a Bachelors Degree in Marketing and Accounting. I've been faced with plenty of situations that I would've loved having someone that I can relate to.
