During these uncertain times, I just want make sure everyone is taking out time for their mental health. Since this subject is very important to me, I want to do a mental health check. With everyone sprouting their opinions all down our timelines it’s easy to get so wrapped up in it that we aren’t realizing the mental toll it’s taking on us. We’re on information overload with the news, social media, and friends all talking about the same thing. Especially if you’re out there front and center seeing all of these events taking place, you will have some trauma as a result. We do not need more black people with PTSD! The country was just having a worldwide pandemic and everyone’s in quarantine. Make sure you’re still checking in with yourself and assessing how you’re doing on a daily basis. You can’t fight any fight without a strong mind! Take a second to disconnect from social media. Watch something funny on tv or exercise. Try to get some fresh air, we need a break from all of the stress from the world. Also pay attention to the children and their mental health. These kids are seeing everything and their little minds are probably having a hard time processing and adjusting to this way of life.
