“What do you mean by that Mariah?”
Hmmm! I’m glad you asked.
Lol but seriously I am glad you asked. All I mean by this is walk the walk and talk the talk. As an entrepreneur, business professional, or regular human being, you have to understand the ins and outs of business. Knowing what’s going on around you in the business setting will increase your understanding of how everything is ran.
As an entrepreneur you are your brand. In a meeting, when they judge you they’re judging your brand. Also be able to recognize when you’re in the position to negotiate. If you have something they want you’ll always be in that position. As a professional, everyone’s judging you basically (which is why I don’t fit in). As a regular human being you still need to understand what’s being said and done.

Especially if someone is handling your money. Don’t EVER let anyone handle your money blindly. This is coming from someone with an accounting degree. Do Not let a single soul handle your money without periodic checks to cover yourself. Business’ are now ran with checks and balances. Checks and balances are put in place so that not one person has too much power. Decisions aren’t made without another party checking to make sure those decisions were executed properly.
Apply that same logic to the business you’re handling. You don’t know how many times I’ve heard of people getting ripped off because they never checked their books. They never took the time to learn what was going on. You are allowed to ask the person handling your “business” to explain things you don’t understand. If you get into an industry you’re not quite familiar with, hit the library or the Internet for help. Know all that you can about the industry you’ll be working in. It’s better to look somewhat knowledgeable than to look completely clueless.
